Mette is more than a name; it is a thread connecting four generations of women. It is also a quiet homage to her Danish background, one she has long admired: purposeful, honest, and made to last lifetimes.
Rendl Clark founded Mette Ceramics in 2020, bringing together over a decade of hands-on craft with a background spanning contemporary art, entrepreneurship, and interior design. Working from studios in London, California, and now Colorado, her work is shaped by the landscapes she has lived in, the textures of coastlines, the stillness of mountains, the energy of cities, and the belief that the objects we bring into our homes should carry meaning.
Every piece is made completely by hand. Rendl develops her own clay bodies and glazes for each collection, approaching the studio with intentionality, nothing wasted, nothing arbitrary. The result is work that feels both considered, alive, and timeless.
